Governments.

Governments come under ever-increasing criticism every day, yet “Until the public draws a line under their governments abuses of power, those governments will use their power to draw their plans against us.” Let’s have a look at a couple of those plans. First off, “As codes become a part of our daily lives, it’s difficult to avoid the fact that we’re all just numbers, to be added, subtracted or just erased as our governments please” at the same time that “Present politics attempt to ensure that nobody should remember yesterday, yet today’s situation is tomorrow’s standard.” This is achieved not only by the government, but also through it playing people off against each other, it being “One of the great ironies of our time that governments consider many of their people to be enemies whilst most of the public consider elected officials as their leaders.” In the same vein, “A truly evil government does not just act against its people, but convinces those people to act against each other.” They manage this because “It’s only after you look at governments’ half-truths that you see their full lies” and “Those who tell us tall stories usually do so by belittling those around them.” “Never let the facts get in the way of a good story and never let the truth get in the way of a bad government” are also wisdom worthy of note. They only achieve this through public apathy, since “Governments only act in the public interest when the public takes an interest in their government.” That said apathy means that “Governments are only able to do what they do because people are happier being led than taking the lead”, but also since “All governments lie, yet nothing they say is disbelieved by the majority.” Those same “Governments will show us lies for as long as we hide from the truth.” Another way that rulers reach their goals is via “True control of the people coming through allowing them to pursue the goals that their leaders want them to follow.” And all this because “An unfortunate consequence of politics is that children pay the price for the actions of adults who act like badly-behaved children.”

The only way for the public to better their lot is to take things into their own hands and “When the government of a rules-based society’ debases society whilst avoiding the rules, society needs rise and govern itself.” Though they may have had the upper hand for so long, “Governments still want to control our every movement, yet those moves may create the movement that eventually removes them.” They’ve lied and abused the public for years, yet “Governments silencing opposition voices is merely the lull before the storm of the government’s making” and those “Governments can only sell lies for as long as people buy them, yet once those people realize they’ve been sold out, there will be no going back.” In an increasingly aware world, “Today’s faux pas are the first steps down the road to ruin. Yesterday’s friends made enemies have more power than yesterday’s enemies made friends.” And when governments have made their own people that enemy, they’ll learn fast that “A master can only dictate if someone obeys. Once that obedience is gone, so is the dominance.”

One response to “Governments.”
