Spirit of the Matter.

Family life in the East is the core of society, not individuals creating a society rotten to the core.

Preamble.

One of the principal attacks made by the western world upon the East has been Russia’s traditional stance regarding liberties and the ‘freedoms’ that are now commonplace in the West yet have failed to gain traction across Eurasia. This article will take a look not at the freedoms themselves, but at how they factor into the larger game.

The Bear.

Just as with any country, it is the people that make the nation, and Russia is built upon values that have stood for centuries. With Russia having a history that goes back more than a millennium, it and its people have had more than enough time to try and test what works best for them and their country. In spite of the many misconceptions furthered from abroad, equality is an absolute key to Russian life, women occupying a far greater percentage of high-ranking positions across the labor market. At the same time as women are encouraged to leave the home to work, it is at home that the country really excels. Home is where the heart is and family life is the heart of Russian society. The togetherness of not only family, but those around it give society a cohesion not seen elsewhere today, and whilst the communist era is truly over, camaraderie between comrades most certainly still reigns supreme.

A Bear Possessed.

The internet has changed the Russian perspective to a degree, yet even today, Russians are happy with what they need rather than everything that they dream of. Foreign holidays to the sun are usually top of most Russians’ bucket lists, yet having the latest car or throwaway fashion item is of lesser importance. Russian wages are undeniably lower than those of the West, yet leave the center of any big city and living expenses mean that disposable income is comparable, accommodation not creating the headaches that it does elsewhere.

The Den is Open.

One of the core principles is that of tolerance, and in stark contrast to other nations, country and community are extremely tolerant of both foreigners and their ideas, but only when they do not in any way have any adverse effect on those around them. This has meant that millions of people from former Soviet states are still welcomed into the Russian Federation, along with their cultures and religions. Russia is only one (albeit large) piece of the global jigsaw and as much as its people are proud of who and what they are, they do make huge efforts to be part of the global community through their understanding and hospitality. The door to the Bear’s den is open, but not to those who wish to force other ideologies down the throats of the Russian people in their own backyard.

The West.

Having looked at the Russian side of things, now we must look at what the West has to offer. As mentioned in the preamble, immense social changes have taken pace over previous years and not all of them augur well for the future. An ‘awakening’ has taken place amongst many groups as well as individuals, this giving rise to not only a more fractal population, but one that simply lacks the cohesion seen decades ago. Everything from wokeness to Black Lives Matter has taken center stage, not only garnering innumerable actors but also millions of wannabes wanting a piece of the action. On top of all this, the emergence of the LGB movement has changed the social landscape forever, everyone wanting to get on their warhorse in favor of unicorns yet the hurdles these present nations is well known in both East and West.

Herd Mentality.

All of these groupings, along with the oneupmanship that they involve has meant that ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ is of paramount importance, social media only adding to the pressure that many feel they have to bow to if they are not to be a nobody. Not only has this led to rampant consumerism with people spending money that they have not got, but it has engendered rivalry that is causing serious social rifts in the younger age groups. Role models and social influencers have gained great power in the way they are able steer the masses, these now being harnessed by governments and media alike in order that those masses be steered in certain directions.

Shackled Sheep.

The most crucial aspect of the new western mindset, both at a personal as well as at a collective level has become the importance placed upon impressing views and beliefs on the rest of the world. Be it Black Lives Matter, Covid jabs or pasting Ukrainian flags on media profiles, westerners want everyone else to be as obsessed as they are in their cause du jour, extreme intolerance and hatred coming to the forefront when this does not happen. Moreover, most have been conditioned into this mentality because from a governmental standpoint, there is sound reasoning behind this, not that many people realize the trap that has been laid for them.

Social Seesaw.

This article need not look at the changes in the economic rivalry that has been created between the eastern vs. western world, innumerable posts being available that explain this perfectly. The core of the matter is that in the West the rich have never been richer than they are today, and as a result, everyone else has never had so little control of their own destinies. In times past, there would have been a revolution, yet through very careful manipulation, diversionary tactics have been used, the loss of real power being masked by the impression of personal might, be it through idea or image. As the absolute maximum of wealth has trickled into the minimum of hands, everyone else has been waylaid into campaigning for the rights of everyone except themselves, this leading to what amounts to little more than a dog eat dog world with everyone snapping at everyone else in the hope of being top dog.

Eastern Balance.

Countries on the eastern side of the divide know that they have have gotten where they have through a time-tried formula of putting the family first and everything else in second place. This may mean that they have to date lagged in economic terms, yet without the social cohesion that they have, as nations, they would fail sooner rather than later. This is not something peculiar to the East, merely an awareness shared between the population and their rulers that were it not for the people, the country per se would simply not exist. This is not to say that these nations are living in the past, it is just that the ideas that they have adopted fit country and culture rather than just filling the bank accounts of a select few. Moreover, with this consciousness pervading the nation as a whole, people are united and therefore following a path that benefited their forefathers as fruitfully as it does themselves.

Western Balancing Act.

With everything being what it is, things are in a downward spiral and with things being what they will be, everything is going to become considerably worse. The consequences of the plandemic and vaccine injuries would in a normal world be top of the hour on every TV news broadcast, yet in their efforts to ensure that it is not, governments and media are ensuring the war in the Ukraine is taking top spot, but the resulting ramifications will in themselves only ensure the acceleration of a race to the bottom. Whereas the East revolves around everyone revolving around everyone else, in the West, with everyone attempting to be someone else, everything and everyone is heading towards a tailspin.

The Crunch.

There are however two incredibly important points that cannot be overlooked. The first is that the East is happy to live and let live, yet the western mentality is as much about forcing its beliefs upon others as it is believing in them. The other is that the existence of the whole western establishment revolves around it being unopposed and dominant, the holes in its arguments blatantly apparent should anyone follow another path that is even remotely successful.

East and West are quite literally poles apart, yet it is not just geography which separates them. The East is happy as is whilst the West has never been unhappier as it tries to convince others of the righteousness of its ways and therein lies the problem.

The West has staked its everything on everyone following its lead, and to its credit, there are millions that have jumped onto its bandwagon. But as we are beginning to see, the path it has chosen to follow leads to nowhere, yet having set course in this direction and invested decades and billions of dollars in doing so, there is no going back. The only option it has is to vaunt its values and attempt to convince others that an increasing number of wrongs actually make a right.

Summary.

Look at the Ukraine today and Taiwan tomorrow and we will see a fractured West attempting to use the ideology that will be its downfall as a weapon against those who think otherwise. Looking at not only the decline of social cohesion in the West as well as the resistance to its ‘freedoms’ seen in the East and it increasingly seems that Washington and its allies are hoping to trash others before they themselves meet the same fate.

Whilst the Bear and Dragon keep themselves to themselves wherever possible, they most certainly are themselves and unlike millions in the West, do not try to get one up on others attempting to be something else. The situation today is tense, yet in time it will be worse, international relations suffering merely because so many misguided souls out there relate so being someone or something else…

First, I just found your blog via Moon of Alabama comments section on June 14th. Great writing.

Second, I don’t understand the last sentence in the passage pasted above.

    1. Thank you for your comment. What I meant was that whilst many have a ‘you’re with me or I’m against you mentality’, this is a product of conditioning and indoctrination on the part of government and media rather than part of the intrinsic mindset of westerners today.

      1. Ah yes. Totally agree. Unfortunately many do not see this; and as this world War intensifies such mentality is going to become easier to inflame further.
