As goes Donbass, so goes the World.

He says how it is. But how will it be?

Preamble.

Yesterday, against a backdrop of internet outages, Russell ‘Texas’ Bentley posted a video giving his views on how things will pan out in the near future, talking about the general situation in the Donbass region as well as in Eastern Europe and potentially elsewhere.

Offline.

Whether VK went offline through a technical failure or western malfeasance is not yet known, but what is crystal clear is that by YouTube suspending the channels associated with the DPR and LPR, the information war is most certainly entering a new phase. The channels that have been deleted covered a range of matters, they being everything from government ministries to bloggers, the western agencies not wanting the voice of the Donbass to be heard. As the overall situation worsens, the West needs its own public to be focusing on the scripted narrative, any stories that don’t comply with the homogeneous storyline being eliminated as western agencies see fit. Put bluntly, as war approaches, anything that doesn’t fit the bill in Washington and London is taken straight off that bill. The media is today the cutting edge of any military action, and channels that tell the truth cut the western argument to the bone.

Agents Provocateurs.

It is also apparent that there are now western journalists in the DNR, yet in spite of every western media outlet covering little other than the situation in Eastern Europe, there is absolutely nothing being reported from the Donbass side of the lines. Headlines abound of Ukrainians standing up to Russia, yet nobody in the mainstream media to date has spoken from the alternative viewpoint. One has to question who these journalists really are, western governments desperate get agents behind the lines in order to gain all the intelligence they can as war approaches. Moreover if the author of this article can report so concisely from out of the area, how can it be that ‘professional journalists’ have not made one single report in the western media about life from the Donbass perspective?

The Western Perspective.

When looking at the matter from a western perspective, things look pretty rosy, but this is only due to there being regiments of armchair warriors whose entire careers hinge around there not only being war, but one whose outcome favors the West in exchange for minimal outlay. Commentators have been carping on for months about Putin, the Russian Army and the Beast from the East, yet those talking heads we see on TV every day have invested their reputations in Russia failing as it faces the West. Should the West founder in a conflict of its own making, a good number of paid media shills will be left with more than egg on their faces. The storyline being touted today is cover up the failure the plandemic whilst playing indirectly into the hands of warhawk and arms broker alike, creating a war that so many misguided westerners want someone else’s country to fight.

Armed to the Teeth.

We then need to look at the wealth of military assets being flown into both Kiev and the Eastern Europe multiple times a day over recent weeks. Whilst the US Army is increasing the number of troops in Poland, it is also giving the Ukrainian government previously unthinkable quantities of arms. During the last seven years, both Poroshenko and Zelenskiy have had to grovel in order that they received aid, yet today Washington is handing out arms like candy, no consideration whatsoever being given as to how Kiev will ever pay for any of it.

Long in the Tooth.

At first glance, these shipments give the impression that suddenly Kiev’s forces are a force to be reckoned with, yet Javelin missiles still suffer from a multitude of technical issues and the UK-supplied NLAW missiles have a operational life of only twenty years (and they were manufactured in 2002!) The Ukraine is currently the darling of the western ball, but with the clock ticking on its recent acquisitions, its new-found might is not unlike Cinderella at the ball. With the desperation seen in Kiev of late, western arsenals are all to happy to fire unwanted stock out of the door, yet obviously not at fire sale prices. The high price tags also come with high interest on the loans needed to purchase them, some of these weapons going on the scrapheap before they’ve been paid off.

Sick to the Back Teeth.

One element that the western media have ignored completely is the morale of the Ukrainian Army. For all the reports regarding volunteers and patriots who are allegedly ready to fight Russia, the average Joe in the army is plain not happy about being told to fight people who many in the Ukraine still consider as brothers. Badly paid, trained and motivated troops just do not want to die in a war that has been caused by the Americans and their tame politiciazin Kiev. Worse still, the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now infested with members of Nazi organizations such as the Azov Battalion and Praviy Sector, extremist warmongers who lead from behind through the expedient of sticking their bayonets in the back of any Ukrainian serviceman who doesn’t want to go forward against the Donbass. For all the guns that the gung-ho West is sending to the frontline, only a small minority of the troops expected to fire them really want to. Whether they will receive the SMS that Russell has mentioned is open to question, but even if that does not happen, many are already questioning whether they really want to fight.

Biting Back.

For all the weapons that the West is sending eastwards, there is one thing that the Ukrainian forces do not have, that being spirit. The people of both Donetsk and Lugansk have been the victims of Ukrainian aggression for nearly eight years and are absolutely resolute in the defense of their homeland. Russell commented that the defenders of the Donbass only have to hold their positions for a given length of time, other plans being in place to ensure their victory. The two new republics may not yet be part of the Russian Federation, but the last year has seen them moving far closer to Moscow in a number of very important ways. Military cooperation is obviously at the forefront of these relations, the East reading from one unified script in the face of a multitude of western threats.

Kick in the Teeth.

In spite of all the talk concerning the West dominating the Eurasian chessboard, what cannot be overlooked is that this conflict is in Russia’s backyard. This is Russia’s square, a game of 5D chess being played by the masters from Moscow. Over recent weeks, the increase in efforts by the US to start a war has finally woken Zelenskiy to the fact that he is a mere pawn, his previously unsuspecting government believing that the US would give it what it wanted. On this square however, it is the Kremlin that is both king and kingmaker. Not only does that king know the game, but it will be he who decides the game to be played; if the Donbass can hold the line for long enough, it will be Russia that will wrap it around the necks of those who attack, putting both Washington and Kiev in checkmate.

Summary.

For how long Russell will be allowed to send the truth from Donetsk is a real worry, but as ever, yesterday’s video tells us the truth as is. Events over the past seven years have not only led the east of the former Ukraine to this juncture, but will most probably take it to war in the very near future. Like a bleeding pustule, Nazism has again been allowed to flourish in Europe, and as before, it will be Russia and the Russians that have to clean up the resulting mess. Diplomacy has run its course and then run out of gas with western governments wanting others to pursue their Drang nach Osten. That only leaves one option, Russia never wanting a war before and the western world not wanting the consequences afterwards. Enemies from afar have attempted light the spark of war in the Donets Basin, yet in doing could start a fire that may spread across not only Europe but the western world.

As goes the Donbass, so goes the world, yet if the western world goes to the Donbass, it won’t be the Donbass going south…
